1. EcoBoost Engine
The EcoBoost Engine is available for several different vehicles in the Ford lineup. If you are looking for a truck, it is available in the F-150. The SUV options include the Escape, Edge, Explorer, and Expedition. The iconic Bronco returns with an EcoBoost engine powering the Bronco and Bronco Sport. It also the engine of choice in several trims of the Fusion and Mustang.
Depending on the vehicle you choose, your options range from 1.5-liter to 3.5-liter engines. The 2.3-liter option is available in many four-cylinder vehicles. It offers a smooth ride, whether you are in a Mustang or the F-150. The most powerful option is the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6. It has the capability of producing 365 horsepower in cars and 400 horsepower in trucks.
2. MyKey
Do you plan on sharing your vehicle with a younger driver? Perhaps you enjoy going to locations where a valet parks your vehicle while you enjoy your day. The Ford MyKey feature was designed with both of these situations and countless others in mind. The feature allows you to virtually program one or more keys. As you set up the keys, you can set one as an administrator key that allows you to override the settings.
If you share the vehicle with your teenage driver, you can control the radio volume and set the seatbelt alert. It gives you peace of mind while allowing your new driver to gain confidence when you are not with them. Along with the speed and seatbelt reminder, the key also turns on the low fuel or recharge light earlier than normal to give them plenty of time to find a gas station or charging station.
3. Sync Infotainment System
Every Ford features a version of the Sync infotainment system. All of the systems give you control over features such as making hands-free phone calls, radio stations, and your Apple or Android device. Some of the systems also include built-in navigation features that allow you to get turn-by-turn directions without taking your eyes off the road. The system allows you to scroll through your choices using a touch screen when you are stopped if you want to change the radio station or make a call while driving, use of the many voice commands.
Among the many features of the Sync system is the ability to pair it with Key by Amazon so you can receive your packages in your vehicle. You can also connect the system to Alexa or Waze. It also pairs with your MyFord app that allows you to check on your vehicle’s health and status from your smartphone.
