Rosenberg Railroad Museum

Train lovers young and old alike will have a blast visiting the Rosenberg Railroad Museum. Situated on three active train lines in downtown Rosenberg, the museum has numerous exhibits that are fascinating and educational. In the gallery, you can view artifacts and photographs from the area’s historic train lines. Take a peek inside the 1972 Mopac caboose and walk through the posh 1879 Quebec railcar. You can then watch the miniature trains as they run through their little cities.

Seabourne Creek Nature Park

If you and your family like spending time outside, Seabourne Creek Nature Park is the perfect place to visit. This 164-acre recreation site is located just south of downtown Rosenberg. Bring your fishing rods and head over to the 4-acre lake stocked with catfish, bass, and perch. Or grab your binoculars and go to the wetlands to see if you can spot some of the hummingbirds, dragonflies, frogs, turtles, snakes, deer, and raccoons that call the area home. You can also go for a walk or bike ride on the trails in the park.

Brazos Bend State Park

Brazos Bend State Park is another beautiful outdoor destination near Rosenberg. This 4,897-acre park is also one of the best places to go if you’re interested in looking for wildlife. The park has 37 miles of trails that circle the lakes and head into the hardwood forest. You can bring your fishing gear to fish from the lakeshore or one of the fishing piers. If you plan on being in the park on Saturday between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m., make plans to check out the George Observatory and learn more about outer space.

George Ranch Historical Park

George Ranch Historical Park gives you an opportunity to step back in time and explore more than 100 years of Texas history. Set on a real ranch, this living history historical park showcases what life was like from frontier Texas to World War II. The historic homes are some of the most popular attractions in the park and range from the 1830s Jones Stock Farm to the 1930s George Ranch Cattle Complex.

Ride the Wind Stables

Ride the Wind Stables is a charming place to visit for exciting riding lessons. The stables offer riding lessons for all ages and skill levels in a fun and safe environment. The beginner lessons include horse safety, how to handle and saddle a horse, and how to ride a horse.
