How to Avoid Hydroplaning

Losing control of your vehicle is both scary and dangerous. One of those common causes of losing control is hydroplaning. Hydroplaning occurs when water pools in front of the tire and is not drawn away from the tread fast enough. This causes the car to leave direct contact with the road and results in being unable to steer or slow the car down in a controlled manner.

The best way to make sure you do not end up in a hydroplaning situation is to watch your speed as carefully as possible. Excess speed can not only result in hydroplaning, but it can make the results of hydroplaning when it does happen even more dangerous, as your car will travel farther before slowing down.

You will also want to make sure that the rest of your vehicle is operating properly. Poorly operating equipment can increase your risk of something going wrong. You need repairs made reach out to our service center here at Legacy Ford in Rosenberg, TX for a service appointment.
