2018 Ford F-150 Soon Bringing Diesel & Other Upgrades to Rosenberg

We have big news. The 2018 Ford F-150 coming to Rosenberg this fall will be available in a diesel option.

Before you leap for joy, there are a few caveats.

The diesel engine won't be available immediately when the 2018 F-150 goes on sale in the fall. Diesel customers will have to wait until next spring for the familiar clacking-sound to grace their ears. We also don't have any information on the engine's output specifications yet, only that it will be a 3.0-liter V6 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Still, knowing that Ford must intend to beat the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, the payoff should be worth the wait.

In the meantime, the updated 2018 Ford F-150 is bringing plenty to the table for us to salivate over. Auto Start-Stop Technology will be saving gas across the model lineup, and will be the only light-duty pickup with Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, making it one of the smartest trucks out there. Several new appearance packages give you more control over your truck's style.
